Is this type of airfare price difference normal?

So my fiancee and I are going to New Zealand for our honeymoon. While we are there we are going to fly from Auckland to Queenstown so we can see both islands.

I went to http://www.airnewzealand.com/ and for a one way ticket, it is $269 NZ currency per person for a flight from Auckland to Queenstown on the day we want.

However, I went to http://www.airnz.co.nz/ and for the SAME EXACT FLIGHT, it is $159 NZ currency!

Is this normal? Obviously, I booked the tickets through New Zealands version of the Air New Zealand website to get the cheaper rate.

Thanks

Yeah, I understand the idea of looking around but both websites are Air New Zealand websites except one is the US version of the site and the other is the NZ version of the site.

I guess Air New Zealand tries to get more money from Americans?

different vendors buy tickets in bulk and they sell them to fit their business
