I have read from a review for the Intel D865PERL mobo given in newegg by someone, that for this mobo you dont need to have the SATA drivers on a floppy when installing XP? does any one else know about this

thanx for any help

the sata drivers come from the INTEL inf mobo installation driver CD and are provided through INTEL,loading the drivers from the floppy is for creating raid.

install your OS,then install and run the mobo CD

There is also the option of slipstreaming your install disc with all the drivers and service packs you need. That is why so many around here consider the FDD practically antiquated.
