Right now I have a 2.5 yr old Antec 300 PSU and this is what's on it:
it's rock stable; no crashes

2 HDs, 2 optical drives, floppy, Barton 2500 non OC'd, load assortment of PCI cards, AGP video, 2 case fans, the normal stuff.


you think I can add 1 more HD and/or optical drive without running into problems? I know I could get a new PSU, but I"d rather not - I've been hemorraging money lately.. :)

i agree. people are WAY to power crazy these days. a good 300 watt will run anything within reason.
