Here's a link to an egay auction.

It's for Triniton monitors from dell, but it sounds too good to be true to me. What do you think?

i never owned a Trinitron anything before. is it really THAT much better versus other monitors? $149 + $35 s/h doesn't sound all that great for a 17" monitor to me. could someone tell me how good Trinitron is?

17" would be an upgrade for me as I am using a stinking 15" that I've had for 2 yrs now.

Notice the line that says "These units are factory returns"? That doesn't necessarily mean that there is anything wrong with them, but you may end up with a dud, and factory returns generally do not have a warranty..

huey1124: A Trinitron really is THAT much better! Generally speaking of course... I'm using a Trinitron copy at home (Diamondtron) and I never want to go back to the "ordinary" CRT monitors again... EVER!

I don't understand the tech completely, but there's something with the way a Trinitron works that makes them a lot clearer and usually they can refresh faster at higher resolutions too.

So are we looking at a refurbished unit? If that is the case, those monitors are not a good deal.

pretty good, it can do 1280x1024@75hz which is what is the best thing about it. The closest you can get to it with a trinitron is the kds-av7tf 17" its around $175 from onvia, but its max is 1280x1024@60hz.
