Hello,

I pick up some of this conductive silver paint today...

This is what is reads on the label:

Silver-Microtip Conductive Pen - For precise repair & modification of conductive traces.

Cat.# 8420-P........ This is made by MG Chemicals.

The company has a Web-Site: This pen is right on the home page.

My question is silver a good conductor? I really want to un-lock my processor, so if this wil not work,
what is the best product to use?

Thanks for all inputs...

Hello,

Thanks for all the response. This morning I though I would just put it in to see what it would do....... guess what???...
It works like a champ. Just to let you know about the MP's, they are lock, but not like the XP's. Just a little conductive paint (just my way to un-lock them) and OC to your cpu's content. The paint works great.
I let it run for about 6 hours at the normal frequency. I then raised it up 12x with all increments in between.

Solid as a rock, with the temps a normal running conditions between 36.5c and 38.9c. The 39.5c was running at 1600Mhz.
I play a few rounds of quake and checked my temps through Sisoft and it went up on to 42.6c, so that made me think about possible raising my FSB to 166 and see what would happen. I raised it to the next increment every two hours to see it the cpu would handle it.

I changed the FSB to 166 and lowered my multiplier to 8.5....... The computer Booted in Windows 2000 with no errors and with the temps running at 35.9c. 🙂

I am now running my computer as and xp1800 (my Epox 8K7A does not recognize it as an MP) with now problem at 37.8c.... I started a game of unreal again and decided to download the service pack for 2000 and transfer a video to another computer to see what the temps would be, so I was really surprised to see it at 38.9c.

Thanks again for all the responses.
