Wasn't he supposed to be the second coming of Jim Kelly?

The Bills are probably the only other team that would have given Mark Sanchez the contract he got from the Jets.

Pah! thats what they said 8 years ago. Hell, I bet kelly could come back today and play better. I miss the kelly years.

let see what EJ brings.

How much are they still paying the guy from Harvard they let go?

It was pretty amazing to watch how quickly Ryan Fitzpatrick's skills spiraled downward as soon as the Bills gave him that contract back in 2011.

One of many mistakes the Bills made since the Superbowl era teams. Hope the new QB can help turn the franchise around.

"Kickalicious" had two field goals for the Lions of 49 and 50 yards.

Remember the youtube vid of the Norwegian Håvard Rugland who made the outrageous kicks?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDwbjHV8jLo

He flubbed the 50 yarder and still powered it through, he's got some serious power in his leg, his kickoffs were not as good but they had very good hang time. They might be able to hide him on the PS since he would be an exception/free spot if they decide on Akers for the year.

Well, the guy went to Harvard and football is a dangerous sport. Maybe he took the money and ran?

Shanahan: RG3 won't play in preseason

Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan says there's "no possibility" Robert Griffin III will play in the preseason, rebuffing the quarterback's public lobbying effort from earlier in the day.

Shanahan also said Monday he's made no deal with Griffin about being patient during training camp in exchange for a promise to play in Week 1 of the regular season.

The coach said the plan is for Griffin to play in Week 1, but it won't happen if there's a setback involving Griffin's knee.

Does this new sig mean your brief time as a 49er fan is over?
I'm still a fan, just not with the same passion. The team with Alex Smith at the helm was definitely classier, you can tell by the way they acted.

And you know what's funny? The people that in the same sentence saying Smith won't qb a team to greatness. You forgot he has just left the 49ers team...The team that by no small measures achieved greatness because of Smith.

I was indifferent towards the Chiefs, but since Smith made the move, I've been paying attention, and they remind me very much of the 2011 49ers - the most talented losing team in the NFL. But here's the catch, they are, IMO, have more talents on their roster than the 2011 49ers team.

So, take it however you wish, laugh all you want. In fact, I prefer that the Chiefs' opponents fall asleep on them - there will be rude awakenings.

Furthermore, if someone gave me a 60/1 odds on the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, the gambler in me says I'd be crazy not to take it.

Speaking of people talking shit and then running off. Whatever happened to Lupi?

LOL, no. Spoken like a true idiot. And if I show up on the Chiefs board, it will be under the same name. Same sig, too.

Anyways, don't have time for wall-o-text reply. Just watch and learn.

FWIW. Poe lost 15 pounds, much faster, more... you know what? NVM.

Another reason how I know you're an idiot? Because a lot of the starting 49ers D didn't play in the preseason game. Now go back to your basement.

I guarantee I know more about the Chiefs than you do. You're one of the poser ass 49er fans that don't know much of anything about football, but became a huge fan when they got good. Then because he was the QB in 2011 and you don't know jack shit, you locked onto Smith and now you're an Alex Smith fan because you also want to root for the underdog. Plus you can't have that ethnic looking tattooed guy be your hero, so gotta go with the "nice" clean cut white guy.

Yes, I'm so sure you would. I'm actually guessing you're all the Alex Smith people since the 49er boards seemed to indicate that there was one person that was making a bunch of accounts and you have a lot of similarities to more than one poster that showed up on Chiefs' boards and those had an awful lot of similarities to a bunch of the accounts on the 49er boards.

The clear insanity of thinking Alex Smith is going to qb your team to greatness shows how far gone KC fans are.

It's a sad thing. I still remember Len Dawson. Now he was a qb.

That's the thing, KC fans don't think that, its just this idiot Alex Smith fan. There's actually a lot that hate Smith and are worried they're just throwing away the prime years of their best players with a QB that cannot carry them. The real argument is basically if Reid will be willing to dump Smith or if he'll pull a Pioli and bet his job on sticking with him. Even optimistic Chiefs fans see Smith's upside as a guy that gets the ball to Jamaal Charles and hopefully Bowe, as quickly and often as possible so that he can have the most limited impact on the team's performance as possible. That's the known key to success with (or rather, in spite of) Alex Smith, let him do as little as possible and hope the rest of your team is talented enough and plays well enough to cover for his limitations.

The real delusion of Chiefs' fans is that the team isn't a laughingstock right up there with the worst franchises. That early team was good but they've done jack shit since, other than squander talented teams with a bunch of castoff 49er QBs in the 90s. Hmm, now why does that sound familiar?

Well, if you guarantee it, who am I to argue. The fact that there are many people that think like I do about Smith speaks volume about him as a football player, and more importantly, as a person.

Anyways, I don't really see any points in arguing with you, it's a waste of my time and I honestly feel dumber for having to read your posts. They reek of ignorance and self projected hate. You do really need to evaluate yourself as a human being, on how you've come to be and why you're so vile.

Your world is always filled with hate and negativity, you must lead a very depressing and pathetic life. But, you know more than everybody, about everything...

The way Sssnail changes allegiances makes me agree he isn't a real fan as I understand the term, but iirc he publicly declared his 49er fandom BEFORE the 49ers got good.

Just kinda like now, with the Chiefs, because my lack of football knowledge and all 😉. Don't get me wrong, I did not abandon the 49ers, I just picked up the Chiefs as well. I guess you can call me a fan of football. I like the stories of the underdogs that persevere against all odds. I analyze the teams, the players, the potentials and form my own opinions, every time.

That is pretty weird huh? Seems like I cheer for teams that were underdogs, and then when they got too big and everybody jump on their wagon, I jump off...

Anyways, a year or two from now, you'll have the same people calling me a bandwagon Chiefs fan, and I couldn't care less then.

That's probably a better way to go than my stupid fandom. I only care about the 49ers. Fuck all other teams. If the Niners lose a game I smash a remote and am angry for days.

My fandom is kinda more like a mental illness and I'd be better off not caring and never watching.

I wouldn't call your approach stupid, that's just how you roll.

I liken football to women - the more football you enjoy, the more football you get to enjoy. 😉 Then there are women that are like the Jets, and you have to draw a line somewhere. D:

Brady Limps off at Patriots Practice

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady limped off the practice field after appearing to hurt his left leg while throwing a pass.

Brady was not hit while throwing a fade to rookie Aaron Dobson that fell incomplete, but ended up on the ground holding his leg. He walked off gingerly but without assistance.

He was met by a member of the team's athletic training staff and walked to the adjacent indoor practice facility. He had not returned to the field after about 30 minutes.

Brady tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a game in 2008 and missed most of that season.
