Things happen that defy the odds completely now and then. Ravens had a 1/10000000 chance of winning that game when it was 4th down with less than a minute to play.

I stand by what I did say after that game. If that game was played 100 times the Broncos would have won 99 of them. Sometimes even the smartest person in the room (me) is wrong. 😛

Ravens game went as expected. Defense should be better than last year but the receiver situation is a problem. No one in the current crop of second and third stringers looks like a Bouldin/Pitta replacement.

My man-crush on Justin Tucker continues to grow. 57 yard field goal ino the wind. That guy is a beast. I cannot believe he was an undrafted FA.

Ravens will be lucky to be over .500 this year. Thinking the defense has actually improved because you got Elvis is laughable. It will be a few years of rebuilding to get back to where they were. No shame in that. It had to be done.

Aaaaand Mark Sanchez is already in midseason form

In a few more months, some word eating will be done in this thread. At least Tim Tebow can think on his feet; Sanchez looks like he's afraid of his own shadow. I hope Mark likes forks. 🙂

There isn't a receiver close to Ansah, not sure what Sanchez was thinking throwing that.

Mallet got hurt and we got a lot of Tim Tebow. Pats ran packages designed around him and he did ok on those plays. Passing was awful. Simply awful. Tebow still has that hitch in his throw. He held on to the ball way too long. This guy will never be a starting NFL qb. He still looks like he's at Florida. No growth at all into a pocket passer.

Loved how the Pats came out and went down the field for a touchdown on their first possession. Six plays for 80 yards. All of them runs! Brady was laughing his ass off. He's got to be thinking if its this easy I should just hand off all the time.

Our o-line will be fine, n00b
Yeah, I mean, with a retired 285lbs Chiefs NT (or center, whatever you want to call him) coaxed out of retirement, the opposing Ds must be quaking in fear...

BTW, check out my sig.

I have money on the Chiefs going all the way this year.

Lol, because you're such an authority on the Ravens. BTW, I take it your answer to my previous question is "no, I can't admit that I was wrong."

The biggest change this year hasn't been signing Dumervil, it's the huge D-line improvement. Terrel Suggs won't be playing semi-injured and Laradarius Webb will hopefully be back.

The only big hole the Ravens have is with receivers. They've got no one to take the place of Bouldin & Pitta. Only the most deluded purple kool-aid drinker would pretend otherwise. Defense should be significantly improved this year though.

If the Ravens hadn't had a couple of rare special teams screw ups that game wouldn't have even gone into overtime. There was nothing flukeish about the result, the better team won.

How so? Tebow still completely sucks as a QB.

Ok, I know you have to be one of the Alex Smith nuthuggers that's shown up on Chiefs message boards. The Broncos handled the Chiefs fine last year and they really haven't upgraded their front 7 at all. Plus with how sketchy their secondary is (Flowers is the only guy I have any faith in, and Berry will be up at the line and covering TEs), there's a good possibility Peyton Manning abuses the hell out of them. Lilja isn't that bad (another tell is you saying Lilja completely sucks and praising Poe like he's actually done something), and the Broncos line, even dinged up as it is, handled the 49ers much better (than the Chiefs) defensive line pretty well. Of course its preseason but you've been listening to too many Chiefs homers (keep in mind these guys thought they'd go 10-6 last year) and have way too much faith in Alex Smith.

LOL, no. Spoken like a true idiot. And if I show up on the Chiefs board, it will be under the same name. Same sig, too.

Anyways, don't have time for wall-o-text reply. Just watch and learn.

FWIW. Poe lost 15 pounds, much faster, more... you know what? NVM.

Another reason how I know you're an idiot? Because a lot of the starting 49ers D didn't play in the preseason game. Now go back to your basement.

A smart person would NEVER come up with a line like " if you think the Ravens have any chance at winning this game I can guarantee your football knowledge is infinity inferior to mine" and no, the Broncos would have NOT won 99/100 times, this was a smart, physical, UN-intimidateable group that beat two good teams on the road en-route to winning the championship. Disappearing like a fart in the wind for a couple of months after the Ravens won didn't help your rep much either..

Chiefs are on the way up.....they will be a decent team and surprise some people this season. I dont think they do much better than 8-8 though, having them go all the way is laughable - but the future looks bright for KC.

The clear insanity of thinking Alex Smith is going to qb your team to greatness shows how far gone KC fans are.

It's a sad thing. I still remember Len Dawson. Now he was a qb.

Yeah, Alex Smith is pure garbage, working with a decent offense with a great coaching staff. Now, hes on the Chefs.

This is the Bills year!............................................AHAHAHAHAH! Sorry, I love em but no, never again!
