You are fine with Rainey, especially PPR. Greg Jennings is high variance, and while I like his chances against a horribly depleted second string secondary that is Cincy, Rainey is a safer bet. Also, keep in mind the rest of your lineup is highly explosive so you don't need a boom or bust in the FLEX position, you want steady production (with the added bonus of explosive upside). Jennings isn't as good a guarantee for steady production.

Walker vs Pitta is a tossup, but I like Walker slightly better b/c Ravens/Pats is a rivalry game at Baltimore which is usually low scoring. Both are steady but Walker is a better bet for the end zone.

DST, most are high variance this week like KC. I would consider a lower variance like Tennessee against MJD/C.Shorts-less Jags and let your big guns Megatron/Dez/Charles/Luck do the heavy lifting. However, since you have Luck, KC is actually a decent hedge on your bet - you should win out either way especially if the variance does swing high to KC or Luck. The downside is that you have to really believe in your heavy hitters having a big day vs your opponents' heavy hitters since you are giving up a slot in high variance (one wins, the other does shit). Essentially, by hedging you are lowering risk at the DST and QB positions but increasing risk at your other positions (WR/RB) if they don't produce. If you don't feel good about this, then go with TN and cheer on Luck@KC. If SF is available, snatch them up over TN. Good luck!

You have some good points here, but my highly explosive team I can afford a risk on a boom/bust player. Last week pitta/rainey got me 4 points each, but Charles played like 3 people. The main one i'm going back and forth with is pitta/walker. I know what they both can do, I know pitta very well from the past. I made the wrong move last week playing pitta but that was cause i didn't want to risk Walker not playing. I might just roll with pitta since he is 100%.

DEF. I've been thinking Lions all week. Just cause eli is the WORST QB with 2 rings in the history of the NFL. SF is gone.

My team of . Charles, Zac stacy. Megatron. Dez. Garcon. Luck. KC

VS
Cam, Josh Gordan, Reggie Bush. Jimmy Grahnam. Seattle. And a few more POSSIBLE sleepers.

I'm projected to win but his team is just as deadly as mines on any given week.

My decisions:

Roll with Cam Newton or pick up Kirk Cousins?

Pick 2: Antonio Brown, Vincent Jackson, Jordy Nelson?

Stick with Jordan Cameron or pick up Zach Miller?

Thanks!

Jordan Cameron is going through concussion protocol this week. Tread cautiously

BEREA, Ohio -- Browns tight end Jordan Cameron (concussion) and cornerback Joe Haden (hip pointer) will both be idle for Wednesday's practice and their status for the Jets game is in doubt.
Cameron suffered the concussion during Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Bears, but didn't report symptoms until Monday morning, coach Rob Chudzinski said. Chudzinski said Cameron may have suffered the concussion late in the game. He finished with only three catches for 23 yards.
Cameron also sat out the final two games of last season with a concussion.

Man, that's a lot of bench depth to have no flex spot. I like your line up, but weren't there some recent injuries to Bengals D that will affect them this week?

The Bengals defense is average right now with their secondary totally screwed with injuries. Teams like Pitt are taking advantage of the subs:
Of the 25 passes quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw in Pittsburgh's 30-20 win, 12 went to the right side of the field; the side where Kirkpatrick spent most of the night.
I would go for a safer bet, MN's Cassel just torched Philly and they get Peterson back. Additionally, Cincy had a negative pass rush in the past 3 of 4 games. Without Geno Atkins and their secondary starters, they aren't getting pressure on the QB.

Cleveland isn't your answer either, that is way to risky at NY - Geno Smith or not, the Jets play way better at home. I would look elsewhere this week for DST. The Jets at home is not a fade, analysts didn't get the hint when they all picked Oakland who posted a -1.00 pt game at NY 2 weeks ago. NYJ have only played one bad game at home, that is not a coincidence.

Otherwise, your lineup looks fine, just keep an eye on Peterson's status. If he has a setback, plug in Rainey vs Stacy, both run defenses are bottom third tier. If the game is close, both backs should be getting full workloads.

Stick with Cam. While Cousins could "boom" higher due to the matchup, he's also more likely to bust. Cam rarely busts.

If Rodgers is back, you have to go Jordy over VJax. Glennon has to deal with the #5 pass rush (Quinn is unstoppable) which won't leave him much time overall to throw bombs downfield to VJax, he is going to be looking over his shoulder half the game.

If no Rodgers, then it's a coin flip between the two although keep an eye on VJax' hammy.

Antonio Brown is a must start every week, he's matchup proof.

Yeah, I agree that Pitta is ok over Walker. Both are going to get you around 4-8 points but Walker is more likely to be a red zone target since the Ravens have Torrie Smith, Dickson, and Marlon Brown who are also threats. Rainey, I would certainly flex.

The Lions are riskier than TN, but certainly higher variance. I like lower variance given your lineup, but if you are shooting for the stars then by all means go for it with Detroit. This is the last game for all the marbles and I doubt Detroit will hurt you given their opponent (NYG who are second to last in pass blocking and middle of the pack run blocking).

Yeah, I joke in this thread about "you've been warned" when I make an aquisition of a player...but it's really the truth.

Two years ago I think I went through something like 7 quarterbacks in a season because every week I picked them up they would go down with some kind of injury.

So yeah...

I picked up Pitta in two of my leagues this week so that means his surgically repaired hip is going to fall off tonight.

thanks for the warning. I was wondering if I should play Pitta this week or not :p

You're probably right. Kaep could explode if they want to preserve Gore for the playoffs. Sproles hasn't done shit lately. Woodhead, hasn't done much since the emergence Mathews but has a good matchup. VJax, probably not going to go off vs St.L pass rush unless it's garbage time (limited damage). Brown is the biggest threat but has to play @Green Bay, where there is currently an 80% chance of snow. Clay is boom or bust and goose-egged last week. Broncos are boom or bust.

Your team: Cam should do fine. Charles is part demigod and will get his points against Indy. Lynch could have tougher than usual sledding but the home field advantage could get him the ball more (assuming the defense is its usual dominant self). Marshall should have a good day in a possible shootout. Colston will probably be avg against Panthers. Todman, not a fan of that matchup but he will get you solid points off volume alone. (Assuming there wasn't much else out there for you to get, RB-wise?) DET is a solid play. Scobee, solid points.

You should win unless Kaep goes crazy like Game 1 vs the Packers and all of his boom or busts come out and boom (Clay, Broncos).

Yep gotta make sure Peterson can go and won't get limited snaps.

Agree with you on the D/ST. Will post what's available to see what you guys think. Thanks!

Detroit looks good. I'd still lean towards Cleveland though. The Giants have the ability to pull a good game out of their ass every now and then.

This site has been the best source for D/ST advice I've seen yet:

Agree on Detroit. They are #5 on that site and Cleveland #13. Not close. Glad that DWC isn't drinking the @Jets Kool Aid.

Edit: Nvm, looks like they are. That is ESPN's ranking. I'm still going Lions, keep in mind that Cleveland has Joe Haden (only the heart of soul of that secondary) on concussion protocol right now. Upgrade Geno's offense on Sunday X10 if no Haden. Too many risks.

The difference between 5 and 13 isn't as big as it seems, as the projected point difference is only .55. He has them in the same "tier."

My gut tells me that Eli doesn't have 2 disaster games in a row. And Cleveland has been a better scoring DS/T overall this year. It's a tossup, I don't think you could go wrong either way.

Dolphins might be a good pick up. Against the Bills, bad weather (calling for sleet), back up quarterback throwing the ball.
