Would you guys propose a trade of Moreno for Lacy? I would receive Lacy. I face the Lacy owner this week, and right now I'm ahead of her by 150 points, but she's still currently in first place since she beat me week 2.

I've heard rumblings that Ball will be used over Moreno more these next few weeks, in an effort to keep Moreno fresh for the playoffs. Any truth to this?

Lacy owner would be an idiot to trade, IMHO. Guy is going to get 30 carries a game for the next 6 weeks, and has a pretty cake schedule.

Yeah, idiot is what I'm expecting. I may toss in Kendall Wright to soften the deal.

EDIT: Is there ANY downside to trading away Moreno for Lacy though? I don't wanna piss away first place because I made a dumb ass move. I also have Reggie Bush, and could offer him plus Wright, but I figure that's too lowball.

I don't necessarily see any downside, but likewise don't see huge upside. You're in first place for a reason and it seems like tinkering with the core of your team might be counterproductive.

I expect Vernon Davis to do really well this week. I am playing someone that has him in their lineup.

Is there any logic in picking up Kickers? I figure there is more into DEF but kickers are completely random. Strong offense might mean only PAT. Crappy O might mean punts all day. So i normally try for mid range teams. Seems like i get killed in this always.

My kicker picks up 6 VS other peoples 10-14. WTF seriously. We lose points for FG missed tho.

I have Vinteri this week.

options are
Crosby(no rogers= no go)
Sturgis ( i had him before but noticed he has been missing)
Nugent
Henery (had him that week he only got a PAT)
Zuerlin.

Kickers are total crap shoot. They just tend to even out in the end. There's like 20 points difference between the 4th ranked kicker and the 20th ranked kicker. There's 2-3 points seperating 10-20th.

If your team gives you points for big kicks (5 points for 50+ yarders) Greg the Leg isn't a bad play in Indy.

He did already miss time with a nasty concussion, but Moreno hasn't always been the most reliable either.

Andre Brown
has been practicing for weeks. This is not some random injury that he is sitting out from to come back without practicing at all at game time. If he starts, he should get a bunch of touches.

Andre Brown said: "They want to kind of ease me into this thing. That’s what they plan on doing and we’ll go from there."

Also consider that Nick Foles just eviscerated Oakland's secondary, which grades out horrendous (7th from last). The NYG have more weapons in the passing game than Philly so I wouldn't expect much from A.Brown this week considering Hillis has been playing decent and Jacobs will be back. Ellington is more dangerous in passing game, especially against a Brian Cushing-less Houston middle so I like that bet better.

Yeah I know Lacy hasn't scored as many points as Moreno but I'm kinda concerned about Moreno's value going forward. I do think there will be more of a time share in Denver. In theory Lacy has more downside with Rodgers going down, but they'll still move the ball and he gets uncontested goal line carries.

Downsides with Lacy are:
1) GB has expressed interest in splitting snaps with Starks. But so far, the stats don't support that statement... 38-12 last game, and 62-11 the previous.
2) Losing Rodgers... teams will be stacking the box more until he's back.

On the flipside, for Moreno:
1) Denver's schedule is also going to be tough and they will have to use Moreno more (I said this a couple pages back) to win so I wouldn't worry about Ball much.

From a talent standpoint on paper, Lacy decimates Moreno who is doing great because of a top 10 Run blocking team (#8) and obviously Manning's ability to read defenses and use Moreno as a primary safety valve for pressure. While Green Bay still has weapons without Rodgers, your production from Lacy will suffer. Also consider that Lacy's next two opponents (PHI, NYG) are highly underrated against the run and grade out in the top 10 Run Defenses... after that, you can expect great production again out of Lacy vs Min/Det (with Rodgers probably back) to finish out the regular season.

Bottom line is don't expect a lot out of Lacy for the next two weeks, and if your lineup can withstand less-than-projected numbers then do the trade.

AFAIK its

FG 1-30yd= 3
40-49= 4
50+ = 5
PAT= 1
MISSED PAT = -1
MISSED FG = -3

Kickers are hit or miss.

Yes they are but by this time in the season you can kind of tell which kickers are more valuable than others. I actually kept Adam Vinatieri in a league during his bye week and I rarely keep kickers, I love the dude. He is the oldest NFL player and is still solid.

There is no way you are getting Lacy for Moreno. Even with Seneca Wallace starting Lacy is a clear cut top 10 RB, he was running very well against a stacked box Monday. Plus look at the Packers schedule. I think Lacy is at least a 2nd round pick next season

Tim Wright is available is most Yahoo leagues and has been developing a rapport with Mike Glennon. He also listed as a TE & WR which gives him extra value.

Brown is much better than what they have available at this time. Either sit him or play him. If they play him, expect him to get a good amount of touches.

Crosby should be fine. Nugent is a very solid choice.

When I was commissioner of the league with my friends, a missed PAT was -3.

You are also to a point in the season that you know if you are able to trade someone for a K on another team. If you are loaded at a position, trade away someone who you have no plan on really playing for a solid K.

I'm holding off on offering a trade now anyway. Gonna ride Moreno the rest of the way, boom or bust. I realize Lacy clearly has more talent, and Moreno is just where he's at because of the QB and team behind him. But I'm gonna dance with the one I brought to the prom :)

One or two more questions. I need to grab a 2nd QB as Brees injury insurance (I've got an open bench slot, so I'm not dropping anyone). The best choices left are:

Cutler
Locker
Keenum
Dalton too, I guess, but not really considering him a good choice.

Also, with K.C. on bye, I picked up the Giants D to play this week, but I'm wondering if any of these might be better bets:

Colts vs. St. Louis
Oakland @ Giants
Texans @ Arizona

Lastly, Garcon wasn't picked up on waivers last night (which seemed odd to me), so I can grab him and drop Kendall Wright. Would you guys do this? Either one is strictly a bench fill right now since I've got Megatron and Dez slotted up, with Percy also on the bench. So Garcon or Wright are just insurance for now. Garcon looks to have a slightly tougher schedule, but looks like he may finally be clicking with RG3. There's a lot more run game with Washington than there is with the Titans though (from what I can tell).

Non PPR

I would say Cutler but if Brees gets injured I might go jump off a cliff :p

Pierre Garcon is available on waivers in your league?! Grab him ASAP
