Wow you have Stafford and got a 3rd round pick + Brady? Nice job.

In my 10 team ppr league a few weeks back there was trade: Frank Gore & 1st round pick for Ray Rice, Vincent Jackson & 5th round pick. Dumb move to trade away a 1st round pick.

Yeah, the GM of the league traded his first round pick and a person on IR (three IR slots, huge roster) for Lynch and a 4th.

I thought it was a crappy trade. It was a desperation move by the GM. He has Manning and Brees (wasted one of those picks) along with Welker and Calvin. He has awful RBs.

I may trade someone to an awful team that needs players worth keeping for another high draft pick. With three keepers, the first round is the fourth round if you keep three. Also, I could just roll with what I have and hopefully get one or two of them next year in the first few rounds.

Just offered my Rivers backup to Aaron Rodgers' owner for Garcon....let's see if he bites.

terrible offer for me? no idea, but it seems like the only player he'd be willing to give up.

With Rodgers being out for at least a few weeks which QB should I target on the waiver wire:

Jay Cutler, Nick Foles, Big Ben, Jake Locker, Tyrelle Pryor

I'm leaning towards Cutler as the best long term solution of the bunch but I am taking a gamble on him starting this week. I would like Nick Foles but he has a bye next week and with a short bench (4 spots) it would be hard to carry 3 QBs.

Im in the same situation. But in my league the following are available: Ponder, Cutler, Foles, Tannehill, and Keenum. I want to go with Foles, but him being on BYE next week put me in the same situation as you. Not sure if Cutler will be back to 100% this week or if Bears will play McCown again as he did pretty well this week.

Unless its a deep league and depending on your backup there are quite a few options on the waiver wire at QB so I would not expect much. I was thinking of offering Jake Locker to the Rodgers owner but decided not to.

Isn't Cutler playing this week? Thought that was already confirmed? Barring any set backs of course.

Also, would you guys drop DeMarco Murray for Andre Brown? Non PPR, and if it factors into your answer at all, I am headed to playoffs.

It is a deep league but Foles is on the wire--though he had been picked up several times before.

Of course, this guy will put Foles as his #1 priority...and so will I. and so will everyone else

This confirms why I would never play in an 8 player league. You get so many choices on the waiver you overthink things. NO you do drop Murray.

hmmm. I am sitting at #1 on the waiver wire order, so my pick is guaranteed. really debating between Foles and Cutler.

Yeah, I actually liked 16 teams better last year. I hate having too many choices. I know, I know, first world problems.

Don't play Foles this week. Look at his stats. He's an every other week player. Next week he's due for -4 points. Then the week after that he'll put up 45.

I've decided to try and grab Foles. I have a tough matchup this week and my opponent has Romo and Graham. I have got to go with upside for any chance of winning, not as much of a must win as last week but it would be nice. Going from 12th to 5th in a matter a few weeks has been impressive but with Rodgers going down I think the train stops here.

I like 12, 14 and 16 team leagues. That's where the skill aspect of FF starts to come into play where you have to keep grabbing the potential guys off waivers or else your team is going to stink. Bye weeks start getting really difficult as well.

We tried a 2 QB 16 team league once. LOL! Don't ever do that, it was brutal.

Yeah, that's just retarded. There's only about 10-14 QB's that are even worth starting on a weekly basis. Let alone 32 of them.

I don't like leagues that try too hard. Give me a good, competitive 12 team league with standard scoring and I'm happy. I don't need creative scoring and whacky stat bonuses. The basic scoring format is irratic enough due to in-game injuries, all-star duds, and no-name breakouts.

Foles is very likely Philly's starter for the rest of the season, and they will be in division contention for the East for the remainder of the season (lol, NFC East).

It is a crazy offense that, when it clicks, obviously clicks. Going against GB's suspect secondary next week, too.
