^^ he's terrible. I keep meaning to look at where he ranks in the analyst rankings, but he always seems to be talking out of his ass.

KT

Most of these guys just look at each others rankings and move some positions around. His trade value chart is just so laughably bad. I wish someone would offer me Danny Woodhead for my Ray Rice in a league, I would jump all over that. People are dropping MJD left and right yet he has his value higher than half the people on his list, makes no sense

There seems to be a lot of pre-season value factored in. Trade charts aren't going to be very useful except to those who are new or don't have any baseline whatsoever as to what certain players are worth. Plus individual league settings (PPR, points per yard, custom TD values, etc) matter a great deal.

No one wants a Ravens RB right now except at a discount, so yeah a Rice/Woodhead trade seems unlikely.

What some people need to get through their head is that at this point in the season nobody could give two flips about where you drafted someone. Trent Richardson & C.J. Spiller were all drafted high but are now worth about a sack of rocks.

I agree, but in Dave Richard's case in might be failure to update the chart... or something. He generally gives better advice in the Fantasy Football Today podcast. I listen to that one almost every day because aside from some decent advice (Jamey Eisenberg is the best of the lot usually) it's a pretty fun podcast I listen to at work.

He updates it every week though. I agree, it's a bit messed up.

I do like the CBS podcast though. Listen to that, Fantasy Focus, and the Audible, to get a wide range of opinions.

Anyone have a link to the analyst rankings? I don't think I ever saw one of these? Do they measure the % of advice they are correct at or just go off of each position ranking?

The CBS podcast is entertaining and I listen to it.

The ESPN Fantasy Focus podcast is so annoying and I quit listening to it. I don't care about the mans league, they always waste the first 5 minutes of the show, and they really don't give that great of advice. I like Matthew Berry as an entertainer but he does not give any better advice than the average analyst and is overrated.

If you want actual good advice listen to Christopher Harris, he knows his stuff

More waiver wire activity this week. Claims:

Dropping Jay Cutler (my Stafford bye week replacement) for Jordan Reed. If Graham is available I will probably play him and try to trade Reed. My Graham bye week replacement was Bennett, but I'm not too hot on him right now. Will try to pick up Locker for week 9 as he is the best available with a good matchup.

Dropping Browns D for Panthers D. The Cowboys have been good to me, but I don't think they will be able to continue the magic against the Lions.

If I lose this week, I am going to shut it down for the season as I will be pretty much out of the playoffs at 1-7. It's getting too expensive dropping $10-15 bucks every week just to lose over and over.

Wait, do you play in a league where you have to pay for waiver claims? Yikes. I would hope with a large prize pool you could offer incentives for losing teams to keep trying, like a consolation bracket with prizes.

At any rate, those seem like good moves to make. Panthers have been a great defense.

Also consider Terrelle Pryor for a week 9 fill in. He's my backup in the league where I have Peyton because he gets the Eagles in week 9.

Go to FantasyPros.com. You can find consensus rankings and filter by accuracy (top 5, 10, or 20). There might be a way to check the accuracy ranking of each analyst.

As an added bonus, you can create an account and import your team, and it'll show you which players to start and the best available ones. Pretty nice.

Yeah but they are all around the same. from 50% to 60%. However fantasypros.com is a great website, I recommend it

Seems like a lot. lol

It's coming from 12 team leagues. Jordan Reed is a must own, the rest are for people that really need something at those spots. People that have been depending on Trent Richardson need a new running back, if Zac Stacy or Andre Ellington is around pick them up.

I have Andre Ellington but I'm dropping him for Mike James. Good or bad? lol

Boykin, Harry Douglas, Mike James, Jordan Reed, Chris Ivory. Am I forgetting anyone?

Roy Helu (probably gone by now), Tolbert, Heyward Bey now #1 receiver in Indy with Hilton, Marvin Jones who seems to have taken over the #2 from Sanu, Durham who's now #2 behind Megatron, Beasley and Kerley in PPR since they have really emerged. Deeper stashes include Indy's #3 deep threat WR Brazill, Drew Davis (Roddy White's replacement), T.Choice if CJ Spiller is gone. If you need a TE, aside from Reed some deeper stashes = Wright (TB) and Housler (AZ). Apparently Housler has a 37 inch vertical and runs a 4.4 at 6-5/250 so he's got the physical tools that are even better than Gronk's.

For QBs, I'm high on Locker since his schedule will be easy in week 9/10 (Matt Ryan bye + Seattle). Overall his schedule is soft and he will have to pass since his RB sucks.

My nfl.com ones went through but on yahoo they are still pending.. hmm

Yahoo processes waivers from around 4 AM to 8 AM ET, depending on (I assume) how fast or what servers go through all the waivers.

I'm almost always awake around that time anyway so I usually see the waivers post and then I make manual grabs for leftovers I want. :D Only works out well for me because I'm up anyway - no way would I go to sleep late just for that, though.

Do u guys trust big ben this week? Luck is on a bye. I'm considering playing w/o a qb.

My league punishes qb. 4 for passing TD. No passing yards. -1 per sack, -2 for int. And -6 for fumbles lost.

Most qb score 5 points. Great running ones get a little more.

Every waiver claim, add/drop, or trade is $5.

There are multiple ways to win money. Have high score for the week, win your division, finish in top 3. Winning the championship nets you the most.

You also have to pay if you have low score for the week.

Well, I got Reed but not the Panthers. I am going to have to think of something else.
