Man next week is going to be an uphill battle. Adrian Peterson, Pierre Garcon, and Tampa Bay Def are on bye week for me. I'll be okay at WR, but I may need to make some moves at RB and Def.

What do you guys think of Le'veon Bell? He's available on Waivers. The only person I'd consider dropping for him is Bilal Powell.

Uh, stupid question.

If you can get Bell now, do it. Powell is nothing compared to him at this point - Bell played extremely well in his first game back.

Checked waiver wire, and the highest ranked RBs available are:

Danny Woodhead
LaGarrette Blount
Jacquizz Rodgers

I have Lamar Miller and Ben Tate as my starters this week.

My defense is Dallas, and I'd usually be fine with that, but they are going up against the machine that is Denver. Defenses that have played against Denver have scored 3, 3, 4, and -2 in my league. Across the league, average defensive score is 15 points.

PPR? Get Woodhead.

I was thinking it was a no brainer, but I wasn't sure if there was something about Bell I was missing. That's why I ask questions here, whether you think they're stupid or not.

Plus, it's the effing Steelers we're talking about. They're a mess right now. Hopefully Bell changes all of that, and hopefully he stays healthy.

I only picked up Powell as an insurance policy last week in case Bush didn't play. I know Chris Ivory will be back soon, so Powell's value diminishes greatly then.

My only issue now is I'm dead last in Waiver order this week, so odds of getting him are slim. My only hope is that since he's on bye week 5, he may get overlooked for other RB's that are playing.

No, it is not PPR scoring.

Unless Rogers gets a touchdown his ceiling is pretty low in standard scoring and when Steven Jackson returns his value will drop like a rock. You can't expect Rogers to give you more than 7 or 8 points this week as the Jets run defense is good. Woodhead is a roller coaster ride, you might get 2 points you might get 16.

Long term Woodhead is a better flex option, the Chargers have a better schedule than the Falcons and its pretty obvious that Ryan Matthews and Ronnie Brown are not going to replace Woodheads roll in the Chargers offense.

Woodhead in any league. Quiz is still splitting snaps with Snelling. Blount is kind of intriguing though, but only because Bolden might be out b/c of that knee which would only leave Ridley to compete with. Keep an eye on that injury, because if Bolden is out for next week I would rank Blount on par with Woodhead. The only concern with Blount is that they are playing Cincy, in which case Woodhead would be the better option for this week.

Powell is playing the exact roll that many people expected of him this season, a steady RB in your roster while Chris Ivory is injured. Chris Ivory is clearly the better RB and is the one to start (if you have to start a Jets RB) when healthy. Ivory could get hurt yet again when he comes back so it may be wise to stash Powell on the bench. It's not like Powell was terrible against the Titans, he had over 100 combined yards and averaged 4.7 ypc.

Yeah. Don't start any defense against Denver. You're just asking for it.

I've started a different defense nearly every week and it's worked out much better than trying to get a single "good" defense and sticking with them. Unless you have KC, Seattle, or Chicago, you should be swapping defenses every week. A good real-life NFL defense is not the same as a good fantasy defense.

Nomination for the most gut-wrenching loss. I was down by 0.2 points (yes point 2) in a PPR and had both Jimmy Graham and Sproles. All I needed was for either one of them to record at least 3 more yards to win. Started jumping when sproles got the ball and picked up at least 10 yards only to scream at the TV when I realized he fumbled it. First fumble of his career... F..M..L. Oh well at least my team is pretty sick. I'm 2nd in points and it took Alfred Morris hobbling off and Stevie Johnson getting a big fat 0 for me to even get to this point. It should've been a blowout.

This is a money league, so any transaction is $5 each. You can quickly spend a lot if you are constantly making moves every week.

I'm planning on dropping the Bucs and picking up the Browns or Rams for Week 5. For Week 6, I can drop whoever I pick up and go the rest of the year with the Cowboys.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Bilal Powell. Is Bell a slight upgrade? Probably. But Powell is about as reliable a RB3 as you can get and Ivory just isn't very good, he certainly won't be back on top of the depth chart any time soon, even after he returns from injury.

Ivory looked better when they were splitting carries. I mean not way beyond but he ran with more power and finesse than Powell, I liked what I saw out of him in week 2 but then the injury bug hit him yet again. Ivory has the potential to be a beast, he has shown that before, but until he can prove that in a game or two I would not start him when he comes back.

FYI if you're streaming defenses this site is amazing:
http://nerdballmagazine.com/?cat=3

It won me 3 games this week. I'm only sharing it because none of you are in my leagues!

Thanks for the link. PFF for the most part agrees with your link so far (only 2/10 analysts have weighed in). Although Cleveland and Miami are in the mid teens which do not jive with your link. They agree on StL, Atlanta, Buffalo as top 7 plays. NE, SF, and Houston rounding out the top 10. Your link has Houston as #21 vs SF which I don't agree on. Houston was tough on Seattle and they have arguably more weapons than SF, albeit a slightly worse OL. As a result, I'm benching Caepernick and starting Bradford. Fuck Caepernick, he's lost me 2 games alone by not even hitting his projection.

I love betting on defenses. Indy really kept me in it last week.

I agree with this, but Powell is no longer on my roster to drop for Bell on waivers tonight. I traded him for Knowshon Moreno.

I know there's the trinity of RB's out there in Denver, but Moreno seems to be getting all of the work, or at least the bears share of it.

Plus, Peyton effing Mannings his QB. Once ol' Fivehead the football throwing cyborg lays down a healthy lead, they're looking to their RB's. I really like Bilal Powell, but he's not on a team with the same amount of juice like that.

Hopefully this was a good move.

For anyone playing on Yahoo, they just added the option to change theme from the crappy iOS 7 inspired transparency to a solid white background. Just visit your "Edit Team Information" page.

Glad they finally added that option at least. The new layout was horrendous.
