O-3 after putting up nearly the highest points in a 12 team league the last two weeks. FU ANTONIO BROWN!!! You killed me yesterday.

Finally got a win in my league. Hell, my kicker (Prater) got me as many points as Megatron did! 😀

I've got a tough schedule ahead of me. Facing some stacked teams. Of course the bye's coming up won't help much either.

Anyone look like waiver wire gold this week?

So far, the only thing I've got a claim on is the Chiefs D/ST

I had Moreno vs McFadden left with me down by six. There was hope after Seattle benched Lynch (my first round pick) and half their defense (my seventh round pick) which screwed me in the process. I did not take my time to draft a team to watch week three be played like week 17 due to the Jags being the worst team in the NFL. I will go 3-1 this week with the loss in this league dropping me to 1-2 and I don't even care about this team at all now. Am I supposed to look at their matchup and know if Seattle is going to blow their opponent out badly (amazing defense) every week to a point of not playing my first and seventh round picks? No thanks.

I will focus on the three other leagues I am in.

I didn't see the game last night, but following online it looked like they pulled Moreno out early in the 3rd and gave him the night off and gave Hillman/Ball some garbage time snaps. I was hoping for a closer game so they would keep Moreno in, is this what happened? Hopefully he didn't get hurt.

What do you guys think of Steve Smith (CAR) as a waiver wire pickup? He's owned in 94% of leagues but not in mine. Seem's to not be doing so well through 3 games and has a bye in week 4 but I have an extra roster spot.

I'm debating between Smith and Bilal Powell as a flex option.

Through 3 games
Smith: 14 - 143 1 TD, 24 FPTS

Powell: 226 Yds Rush, 66 Rec, 1 TD, 39 FPTS

Powell is a smart play, Chris Ivory is expected to miss significant time with a hamstring injury

I'm about to bench Cruz and put in Tate or Denarius Moore. May give it one more week but seems like Eli is too busy running for his life meaning no chance to ever look downfield.

At this point I'm just hoping Cruz has one more big game so I can trade him...

I don't think you can start ANY giant player the way their looking at this point.

now who can you drop for steve smith?

I have the following WR on my team, would any of them be worth dropping for Steve Smith? I must start 2 WR and I have a WR/RB Flex position where I usually start a RB.

Roddy White (7-56 0 TD, 7 FPTS, 99% owned)
Torrey Smith (16-269 0 TD, 31 FPTS, 97% owned)
Hakeem Nicks (9-197 0 TD, 24 FPTS, 97% owned)
Julian Edelman (27-201 2 TD, 45 FPTS, 87% owned)

Vs.

Steve Smith (14-143 1 TD, 24 FPTS, 94% owned)

The hot defense this week? Chiefs at home against Giants. Another shutout and 7 sacks in the making?

The giants will "get right" eventually. (At least, I think so. There are no signs pointing to this, but I still think so.)

I don't want to be starting the defense against them when they do.

Yeah, that is what happened.

Who else is on your team? I suppose Edelman would be the player to drop if you MUST drop a WR, but if you have a second QB or defense or something you should probably drop them instead.

Yeah, Moreno is in because he's the best in pass protection. Once the team takes a commanding lead and stops passing, they pull Moreno and let Ball/Hillman kill the clock.

Funny thing I heard this morning, while the refs were reviewing Hillman's run, the three RBs played rock-paper-scissors to decide who would get the goal line carry if it was ruled not a TD. Hillman won so he scored the touchdown.

Gives you a good idea of the value of a Denver RB this year.

Starting Players
QB, RB, WR, WR, Flex, K, TE, DEF, D

My Roster
QB - Russell Wilson, Eli Manning
RB - Trent Richardson, Chris Johnson, Darren McFadden, Bilal Powell
WR - Roddy White, Torrey Smith, Hakeem Nicks, Julian Edelman
TE - Jimmy Graham
DEF - Chicago
D - Brian Cushings
K - 1 guy, whoever has best matchup

I'm hesitant to drop any of these guys. All of them are 90% owned or higher except for Edelman who is 87%. I think it would be down to dropping Edelman or Hakeem Nicks. Most other players have 2 QBs on their roster and the best available QBs in my league are Sam Bradford, Jay Cutler, Alex Smith, Ryan Tannehil, Alex Smith.

If u want Steve smith. I would drop a qb. More importantly I would attempt to make a trade like a 2 for 1. Maybe edelman/Powell for someone u like.

You don't need S.Smith, but he's currently better than Roddy White and Hakeem Nicks. White, of course you want to save for when he's healthy but honestly Smith is a better receiver than Nicks, especially considering Smith is Cam Newton's #1 when he can get open. Nicks is injury prone and decent when Eli can actually get some protection, but against good defenses Nicks is screwed. I would try to deal Nicks, but nobody is going to give you much value after he just posted a fat goose egg last week. You will never ever see S.Smith goose egg unless he's hurt.

This has been an incredibly annoying season for me, enough for me to probably not play next year. Every week my opponent puts up the league high score while my team shits the bed. I get a break this week in one league and Aaron Rodgers decides to stink it up

pretty much my year so far. Top 4 score first week, top 5 score second week, lose to the top score both times.

Opponent this week is 2-0, Rodgers takes a dump and P Manning manages to eek it out for me (going in last night down 13 points).

Yeah, that's right--my team pretty much sucks outside of Peyton, my #2 pick. Spiller has been shit, we all know that. Andre Johnson had one great game, then consecutive injuries the following two games.

I have a few defensive players that are perpetually injured, or pull their 2nd DUI and outright remove themselves from the team. sigh....

My opponent last weekend has Cameron, but she's hurting at RB. She's got Wilson and Spiller, with Ridley and the lawfirm as her other two.

I'm thinking of proposing a trade for Cameron. I've got Gronk coming back soon, and have been using Martellus Bennet in the interim. What do you guys think of me offering Bennett and DeMarco Murray for Cameron and Wilson?

My theory on Murray is sell high. Yeah he had a monster game, but I don't see that being the norm. Plus, he's a huge injury risk. Wilson has pretty much zero value right now, but I can bench him and hope the season changes for him. He's a great RB, just on an "at the moment" shitty team.

Thoughts?

bad bad trade. why trade for Cameron in the first place? you can't bank on him being better than gronk...

and murray is a ton more valuable than Wilson right now, I'd offer a lot less if anything

A sell high on demarco murray would be targeting a top 5-10 wide receiver, or something of that ilk. RB is extremely thin this year, value your RBs accordingly.
