Isn't he splitting carries with Foster pretty much?

Yep. I shopping him to the foster owner. I can't just drop him, I need something in return. A solid WR2 is what I require. It's a long season and it's just week 3

Startable running backs are hard to come by. Tate you can start. If foster gets hurt he's gold.

He wanted Eddie Royal, what can I say. And Bernard Pierce is good since Ray Rice is out. Who is to say he doesn't miss more time?

It was a fair trade IMO on both sides

What you're forgetting about Bernard Pierce is that he's more injury prone than Ray Rice. Guy was hurt in college and that carried over to the pro's. Rice will definitely be back next week, I doubt he'll play Sunday.

Bill Simmons is a moron and so is Jim Brown. They both need to read more PFF and get educated.

http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/44422/311/fallout-richardson-is-a-colt
That "career" 3.5 yards per carry has some people down on him, but we do have to take into account his offensive line, quarterback and injuries. Last season the Browns went 5-11 with their quarterback Brandon Weeden completing just 57% of his passes for 3,385 yards, 14 touchdowns and 17 interceptions and still Richardson ran the ball 267 times and caught 51 passes scoring 12 touchdowns. He was their only reliable weapon on offense and defenses knew it and still he moved the ball. Last year he ranked 7th in Pro Football Focus' Elusive Rating. He caused 59 missed tackles on his touches and still had just 3.6 yards per carry. He was getting hit at the line. He also played through a rib cartilage injury at less than 100% and other nicks and bruises. This is all to say that Richardson is good and even after two sub-par statistical games with Cleveland this season, he still led all running backs in PFF's Elusive Rating. He's doing more work for those few yards than most backs do for 20.

Summary: PFF and Chet Gresham > Bill Simmons and Jim Brown

That article is amazing.

BillSimmons said:
Just know that, if the Browns REALLY want to bottom out while keeping their fans vaguely intrigued by their 2013 season, I have a 27-letter word for them:

"TEEEEEEEEEEEEE-BOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!"

Hahah, love simmons when he's not prattling on about basketball stats.

I was under the impression that most of the work was going to Foster. Even more so as he gets healthier.

Got a trade offer that Im going to accept. James Jones for Chris Johnson.

He's not doing that great so far, but I'd make that trade in a heartbeat! Johnson WILL produce this season.

Here's a curveball:

If Gronk plays, do I play him over Martellus Bennett??? I'd love to play them both, but I already put D Jax in my flex Thursday night.

I'd heard from some that Gronk's lost a lot of weight. Still though, Brady wants him back, in a bad way. He could just Gronk all over the place. Bennett's no joke though. The "Black Unicorn" has been an excellent pick up off waivers for me.

No. Until he proves he is healthy and on the field for the vast majority of snaps, play Bennett.

Start Rudolph over Celek, but to be honest Rudolph is only ahead by 8 spots or so for week 3. It's up to you, but keep in mind that Minnesota should be getting a bunch of 3 and outs against cleveland which means more Rudolph time. Also, Rudolph is 3rd on the depth chart behind Simpson and Jennings. Celek is what, 4th or 5th?

Thanks. I went with Celek and all he got was 1.8 so that sucked. Now I have to decide whether to play Tom Brady or Philip Rivers. What do you guys think?

Agreed. I just needed to check and make sure he isn't hurt or other random stuff. Jones is a flex or bench for me. Least with Johnson I got more options.

No mention of injuries:

"Johnson has been given the second-most carries in the NFL behind Doug Martin, but that has translated to a mere 3.3 yards per carry. What's more troubling is his mere one passing target over two games, which is quite a dropoff from his average of 46 catches per season in his career. Although he'll be facing a tough Chargers run defense in Week 3, Johnson should still get enough action to retain his RB2 status."

I say Rivers because Royal is his new best buddy and he's been on fire this year, unless Gronk comes back for Brady, but even then, I don't think Gronk will be 100% and the other two can't hang on to the football if their life depended on it.

I so want to pick up Royal as I have Rivers on my bench. That could be deadly if they keep doing this offense.

But I would have to drop Edelman or josh Gordon. I'd lean Edelman since I have GRONK. Too much potential with Gordon.

Pulling my hair out over this. Non ppr

No matter what gordon's potential is he's not reaching it this year. Look at his qbs.

True. But they've got nobody to throw to and will likely be behind most of the time. He would be my WR3.

Edelman would go down when gronk is back so it's not a bad idea for me to hold onto him as well in case gronk gets hurt. It's still tom freaking brady.

I've never had such a tough decision. I'm 0-2 and a big believer in you have to take risks to be successful at fantasy. My plan was to trade edelman once gronk gets backs.

WR1 - Fitzgerald (need backup for him this week in case, right now all I have is Gordon)
WR2 - Edelman
WR3 - T.Y. Hilton

I'm weak at WR like I always am since I focus on RBs in the draft. I'm trying to balance "do what you can to win this week" vs. "set up for playoffs/depth"

In the rankings I'm looking at Hartline, Gordon, Royal are all right next to each other in the WR3 slot. Who would have the best chance of blowing up?

^^^

I'd take out Fitz or T.Y. since Fitz is injured and even if he does play I don't think he'll play nearly as much. T.Y. is meh and they are playing in SF this week. I've got Royal in on both my teams.

Fuck it. I'm dropping Gordon for Royal. Bad for me long term, but better short term.

I'm a colts fan. T.Y. is not meh if you've seen him play. Dude is freaking fast and the last third of the season he had more points than reggie wayne. Huge upside. But I'm biased, he helped me win championship last year.

Regarding taking out Fitz...I don't bench studs.

Off to a great start this week, thanks to my opponent starting Dwayne Bowe who crapped the bed with 4 receiving yards.
