Jermicheal Finley carted off on a stretcher. Nasty nasty hit. A shame.

yeah it was. though i don't think the defensive player shoudl get a flag. Finley turned and put his head down.

the defensive player has to tackle low. that's what he did . is he expected to aim at the knees or shoes?

Eddie Lacy is having a nice game for himself against a pretty good run defense. Nice to see one of the Alabama running backs step up.

What kind of value would you guys place on Gronk at this point? Obviously he and Brady clicked already today and I expect it to just get better.

Here's why I ask. My TE is fairly weak in Heath Miller. I've got Peterson and Forte as my starters. Moreno and Helu as backups. I'm thinking of trying to move Moreno for Gronk. May offer something like Moreno/Miller for Gronk/McFadden or something along those lines. Worst case I may have to go straight up.

I hate losing a backup in case things go wrong but I'd hate losing a championship even more due to having a crappy TE but winning the best bench award.

Hmm, I would get more value back from that trade for Moreno. Moreno > Gronk and the diff between McFadden/Miller wouldn't make up for it. Unless you don't mind not getting equal value. For example, Moreno has put up 98 pts already and is projected for 140 more via Yahoo, and it's projecting 97 more for Gronk which could go up a little.

I think you can reliably start Gronk every week and there is not much reason to carry a backup outside of the bye week. I think it is a slightly better deal for his team but all in all a fair trade

Yeah but he has Forte and Peterson, I doubt he would start Moreno over him. I do agree that he can get a better deal but he needs a tight end, Gronk should come back to being an elite TE.

So get this, I have Jay Cutler who scored -0.88 points for me and my opponent's DST (SD) scored 15 points, Gronk 11 points, and Jaquizz with 18. Week over, right? Nope, I'm down 10 points going into Indy/Denver with TRich and Moreno. I may pull this out...

Between those two I would be very surprised if they could not get 10 points

And a big thumbs up to the recommendations for starting the Carolina D/ST this week. Got me 20 points and they were flying under my radar.

Yeah I really need 10 points between the Moreno/TRich, it would be a big upset. The opponent had Tom Brady who only had 7.12. So an 8 point deficit at QB is a lucky day.

My heaviest hitter was Jarret Boykin 16.3 pts (outscored Jordy's 10.2 since I knew Jordy would be on Haden island), then Hauschka 13 pts and Steve Smith 12.9 pts.

Jordan Reed was an amazing pickup this week. And glad I decided to flex VJax over A Brown as well. Gordon and DJax had bad games.

I'm going to try and pick them up for next week at the 3am deadline on Wednesday. If TB loses Doug Martin it will be a top play, although xrays on Martin's shoulder were negative.

Yeah I dropped Martellus Bennett for him in a league as well because him and Antonio Gates have the same bye week. Glad I did.

I think better days are ahead for Gordon and DJax, I see no reason to downgrade them yet.

Vincent Jackson should be a #1 WR for the rest of the season, he and Glennon seem to have good chemistry and he is very talented. He made a fantastic one handed catch today.

I think after a couple of solid weeks both Zac Stacy and Eddie Lacy have elevated themselves to good #2 running back options. Eddie Lacy could be even become a #1 RB in ppr leagues if they continue to throw to him.

Jacquizz Rodgers needs to be picked up asap. It looks like Steven Jackson is not coming back soon and Rodgers has been good the past few weeks.

As I mentioned earlier people should take a look at Chris Ivory. Its clear the Jets want him to be the feature back. Even though he had a pedestrian 3.1 ypc he did move the chains for the Jets when they needed him and he ran hard.

I'm sure Roy Helu is going to be snatched up but I would temper expectations. I still think Alfred Morris is a better running back and Helu has had a history of looking good then falling completely off the radar.

The jury is still out on Andre Ellington but I don't think people should drop him just yet, I still think he has potential.

I'd upgrade Reed over Martellus without Cutler. With Cutler, probably not yet. Also Reed doesn't seem to be in game shape yet as he got injured today but played through it.

Gordon was playing in shitty field conditions (kept slipping and falling down, dropped easy passes) due to the rain. DJax had Foles and his ankle stepped on.

VJax has been a #1 for awhile in my book, he's been very consistent and he put the offense on his back today.

Helu is better at catching the ball (passing downs) than Morris so he's more of a threat. I'd love to know if Helu will be the preferred weapon in the red zone from today on, it certainly seemed that way. How many red zone touches did Morris get? Helu has (or had) 4.4 speed with the ability to catch the ball. Washington has a soft schedule to boot.

Jacquizz is a special player, he is high on the Elusive rating and he catches passes well. My opponent this week snatched him up on a waiver priority and started him against me. ugh.

Ivory, I chose Helu over him since Ivory is negative in catching passes and rushing this year, however he's positive in Pass Blocking. His schedule scared me off as well with his next 4 games (Cincy, NO, Buffalo, Baltimore). He would be good if you're really desperate at RB though.

hypothetical situation, if your kicker forced a fumble on the return, would the kicker get the points for the forced fumble?

Sweating bullets but I pulled out the win with Moreno's TD. TRich is a waste of oxygen.

You know, a couple weeks ago I would have disagreed with you on T-rich. But by god, he just can't make a play. PFF has him pretty high up in terms of RB stats that arent yards/carry, but I don't see him exploding this year. I've watched a ton of his plays and some of the breakdowns on the NFL network and such, and it really comes down to 1 of 2 things:

Either he isn't the immense talent every scout thought he was
or
He has yet to have a proper coach at the NFL level make him take his next step.

Now, seeing what the coaching staff in Indy has done with Donald Brown, another "bust" this year, I have faith that T-Rich can be coached up to be pure awesome. Time will tell.

I own him in a dynasty league and he is about to meet my bench until he produces. It takes generally 2-3 years to grade a draft pick, so I'll give him that much time before I cut bait.

Only if you're in an IDP league. It may be possible to enable IDP scoring categories without having any IDP roster spots - then you would get points for forced fumbles, fumble recoveries, tackles, etc, from your offensive players.

Also holy shit I just lost by 1.04 points on that last reception by Demaryius Thomas. Opponent had Luck and DT and despite their awesome games I was still in the lead until DT gets one last catch for 20 yards. I am now going to lose barring a stat correction with the second highest score this week, and I'm falling to 3-4.

Fuck Ray Rice, you bum.

One thing I noticed is that he's not getting any receptions. That's why he was such a weapon in Cleveland, I'm not sure why Indy isn't using him in that fashion. Also consider that the OLine for Indy isn't great and they just lost their center last night. If Indy starts using him in the passing game and stops giving Donald Brown as many snaps then I'll feel more comfortable starting him. Also, he seems like he's not attacking the open holes with enough speed and is trying to move laterally instead. They'll figure it out sooner than later I hope (assuming I can even make the playoffs without him). At this point I'll probably have to start Roy Helu over him since he has way more upside (decent skins line, hitting holes with acceleration, is catching passes).

At least I still have Moreno, he looked sluggish yesterday though. But holy hell was that a costly fumble by Hillman last night that cost them the game. What was Manning thinking, an analyst said he called that run on an audible. lmao

As I mentioned in the other thread Richardson just seems to have the same issues as Mark Ingram. They both tend to do a little too much east & west running and then barrel straight into contact instead of avoiding it. He showed a flash of a good running back but he just continues to disappoint. I am awfully close to benching him in favor of someone like Andre Ellington.
