Hey, this kid who goes to my school built this system for me and overclocked it. He told me the specs and ran 3dmark for me and such. I just want to know if these specs are as good as he said they were, he said they were high end. Thanks. :)

CPU: Athlon 64 3400+ @ 2.6Ghz (10x260) 1.7v
Mobo: Gigabyte K8NS Pro nForce 3 250GB vdimm modded
Memory: OCZ PC3500 EB 2x512 3-2-2-8 Timings 3.2v
GFX: XFX 6800 GT w/ NV Silencer 5 @ 420/1100
Sound: Audigy 2
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 SATA
Case: Lian-Li PC75B Modded with 5x120mm fans (2 in window, 3 in top)
PSU: Fortron 530w PSU
Optical: Sony 52x24x52 CDRW
Cooling: Thermalright SLK948 w/ Vantec Tornado with fan controller.

I appreciate your input, I think it's pretty nice but just wanna know what you "experts" think.

That's a hell of a lot of fans for my tastes, and the Gigabyte board's a bit iffy, but other than that the rig is great.

Did you make sure the OC is Prime95 stable?

Yes, it's prime stable...he tested for 48 hours and I've tested for 24...so I'm pretty confident it's prime stable.

Yeah, that's a really nice system. How much did ya pay for it? And KPH, what would it take to get the last 2 points?

It's pretty good! I give it a 9/10. Just because High-end to me would be a $1k processor.
You're friend sure knows what to look for. Nice OC too.

True. I have a 3200+ at 3400+ speeds right now. It's no 2.6ghz, but if you did want to save some cash, it's always an option.

Personally, I too would keep the 3400+ if I had the extra cash.
