I need to make a flowchart so I googled "free visio program" to see if I could find an open source alternative.

I found this site with a 60 day free trial. TryMicrosoftOffice.com

Now, I was able to link back to what appears to be a Microsoft webpage with a link to this free trial. Microsoft.com

Does this all look legit?

If you don't trust the site, just go to Microsoft.com and look for a free trial of Office.

Edit: Oh, I see you already found it on Microsoft.com. WTF is the problem here? 😕

Too late, I've already installed the trial and I have been assimilated into the bot net.

I've heard of people being sent to fake sites that had legit looking URLs.

You COULD always get a student to use his school email address to get you the Ultimate Steal for $59...never gonna find a legal copy of Office Ultimate any cheaper. (hell, a single office program usually costs more)

I am a student. We have some corporate version of Office and it only includes visio viewer.
