it seems to me this kinda of entertainment-news coverage appeals to white suburbianites only and the rest of population doesnt really care....


I've noticed the cute-white-christian-girl thing on tv (befere Peterson it was Lynch and before that it was Smart), but i really dont see how you can find it that intetersting and or unique to warrant 24-7 nationwide coverage. Can someone explain ....
 
It's the news media's flavor of the month, really. They latch on to one stupid crime and cover it to death. The retarded OJ thing showed them what a money maker that could be. This is just a continuation of that.

my thought exactly.... there are more important events happing *around the world* at any given moment compared to the peterson trial. Than again thought, american media don't like to venture much past the boundaries of this country (of course with the exception of the particular country where most of our armed forces reside at the moment)
 
I don't understand why this is still going on. I know the defendant has the right to a speedy trial but what about the prosecution?
 
Didn;t he saw her body in pieces or something? I would think that would have drawn enough attention i nan of itself.

It's less of a'white peple' thing and more of a 'the media thinks people care, but nobody actually does' thing.
 
Its just like that stupid Elizabeth Smart BS. Who cares... it was only a big deal because she was white and her parents were rich.
 
I loved the npr headline this morning ... blah blah are reporting no American causalties in such and such car bomb, i'm like cool no one
died ... but there were several iraqi civilians caught in the blast, and i'm like wtf way to put it. No American's were killed, oh but some iraqi's bit it, it was a good day. what crap.
 
I'm willing to bet that if this was about a black guy killing a black woman, it would be lucky to even make CNN once.
 
im white and have had no interest in this whatsoever.
