Is this safe to use?

I have one of these:

Its a mixer, think its from the 70s or 80s. Anyway it gives off a kind of burning smell when I use it, its not used often. Google says thats normal for old motors or moving parts that havent been used in a while... what say you ATOT?

I remember those! Awesome. Use it. I'm sure its fine as long as the mixers are clean.

When they made appliances that lasted. My last one, rarely use, crapped out after less than a year.

Use it, its the old oil that stinks. I have power drills from the 60s that spark and stink but still work.

My wife has one of those, although prob. not as old. Still going strong. I'd say use it.

Ive been using it my whole life already, kind of attached to it :$ Its just I dont often use mixers and wondered about the smell. Its a Kenwood a345.
