Is this (recommended resolution) an issue for recent nVidia cards?

Guys,

I'm looking at a 20" wide screen LCD monitor, to replace my trusty Samsung 19" CRT. As I look at the wide screens (BenQ and Viewsonic) I see the same reference:

"1680x1050 *Please verify your video card can support the recommended resolution of 1680x1050."

Is this an issue for an nVidia 6600GT 128MB video card?

TIA,

Jeff

6600GT will support the resolution, but 3D performance will be a huge liability.

Guys,

Thanks for the replies. My game-playing days are past, these days it's mainly IE, Office, emails, etc. Given that my guess is this shouldn't be an issue. Anyone differ?

TIA,

Jeff

I used to run 1280x1024 on my MX420, which is far weaker than your 6600GT. a res boost shouldn't be any problem for your card, unless you do something in 3D.
