Is this really sexual Harassment?

My friend at his work asked a girl a question, not directed towards her.....

?Do guys normally ask girls out nowadays, or do girls ask guys??
She answered the question and she kind of acted weird.
He proceeded to say it was not directed toward her and that he was wondering because there was a girl he liked and he did not know if he should ask or wait for her?

He got screamed at by the manager.

That depends on if she's attracted to him or not.

She's finds him attractive: he's flirting with her.

She doesn't find him attractive: he's a creep that deserves to have his life ruined and she gets all of his money.

If she felt uncomfortable. Yes

What if she felt uncomfortable when he talks about his gf/pets/house?

Do you put any blame on a stupid person who gets offended by everything?

If she got offended by that, she's a moron. Or just thinks he's not attractive, which is the #1 deterrent for sexual harassment.

It's sexual harassment if she says it is

What if I said that I walked my dog today and she started crying?

How do you know she's not just some tofu-eating, man-hating feminist?

Asking a question that does not pertain to the person being asked. How can it be...?

1.) inappopriate workplace subject matter

2.) innuendo/loaded question - how does she *KNOW* the question does not pertain to her? is she supposed to be a mind reader?

3.) the subject matter is inherently OFF LIMITS in today' workplace

That's because we live in a country of stiffs, and it's getting even stiffer.

In most other countries they just laugh at us for being so damn stiff. And no, I don't want to move out of this country, I'd like to kick the stiffs out of the country.

That is only valid to a point. Can you imagine if someone asked "So I heard some women still won't give oral pleasure, but my girlfriend says their just prudes. What do you think?"

What do you talk about at work? I think I'd be bored out of my mind there.

It has nothing to do with sex, so considering it sexual is not the bottom line in this case. Liking someone now days means sexual stimulation?
