Congratulations! You have been selected to participate in the World of Warcraft Battlegrounds beta test!
We have selected a small group of active players to help us test the upcoming Battlegrounds Update and you
are one of the few lucky ones to be chosen. If you chose to help us out then read on, if not please reply to this
e-mail with a NO.
I will personally call you and congratulate you on helping us test this upcoming action packed update! Our lucky
beta-testers will also get a chance to earn a LEGENDARY item at the end of the beta test for their hard work,
the item(s) will be transfered to your characters native server after completion of the beta.
If you want to help us and the community by testing this upcoming update then please fill out the section below,
after we have verified your details a second letter will be sent with how to edit your World Of Warcraft account
to connect to our Battlegrounds server where you will download a medium sized patch. Please reply to us as soon
as you can about your decision so we can find another candidate for our beta test (only 100 people will receive this email).

Yes, it is legitimate. They sent that email to my friend too. You have to send your username + password as well as your cd-key. Then send all relevant billing details for however you are paying for the account.

Actually, I think Blizzard actively monitors this forum. Just post it here.

and what information do they want from you...
Bliz would have to do nothing but supply a download link to thier testers and do not ever ask for them to replythey usually would come from betatest@blizzard.com and be an automated email.

dont they have GMs do to do these kinda of beta testing, or game testers. WoW Beta was only a stress test for servers. I don't think Battlegrounds will require beta testing.

I helped beta test the Blizzard servers for Diablo II.

Edit-What information are they asking for?

It is very, very unlikely that it is legitimate. Did you check the WoW forums?

It's fake. My roommate created a thread about it over at the WoW forums and was told there that it was also fake. (He was the first to post about this though so he thinks he accomplished something :p)
