It probably dropped to the front paws off screen, assuming it was momentum keeping it "balanced". It's CG was moved farther back in the process by contorting it's back as such too so it doesn't seem so fake to me.

/this. It doesn't look like the cat could do that too far. It's center of gravity is off, but if it only did it for that meter, I could see it happening.
Anyone who has a cat knows right away thats fake... Heck, notice how the front body doesnt change AT ALL after he gets up, because it was just copy pasted into the cat to replace the real one
Absolutely real. Cats frequently try to make themselves taller when sizing up something. When defensive or trying to fight the will frequently raise up like that for a brief moment to get a better striking angle.
If the ninja cat from the viral video a couple of months ago can jump / float through the air (seriously, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon style) for like 10 feet to grab a bird, I believe this one is plausible.
I think it's real.. saw the actual video last night and he moves much quicker. Momentum holds him up and you can see right before he leaves the field of view he's already coming back down.
