Is this RAM good?

It's OCZ, it's expensive, it performs well, but again, it's extremely expensive. The Buffal PC3700 should be a much better value at around $99 a stick (saves you about $70 total).

Welcome to the forums. Glad your here. If you hurry over to the OCing forum you might be in time to save all those guys with nice stable systems and high OCs using buffalo before their systems explode. ;)

im just giving my personal experience, buffalo sucks. didnt even run at its rated speed. If you're going to recommend a product, at least recommend something that you've used and was good instead of what you've heard was good.

My personal experience with Buffalo has been good. Many others have had great experiences. Seems like the stuff is hit and miss (but more hit than miss).

If I had not used it and had good experiences with it I would not have suggested it. I base my recommendations on components that I use in my builds. I have not had any customers who have had problems with buffalo ram and I use it in all of my budget builds. I cannot say the same about hyperX (even though I use it in my personal system), OCZ, Corsair which are far more expensive.

Hahahaha, I'm sorry. I just had to laugh at this.

I was gonna pick up some of that Buffalo PC3200 w/WinBond (apparently the good Buffalo sticks), but newegg is sold out, so I was thinking of going with some OCZ EL PC3200 or maybe OCZ Performance Rev.2 PC3200, which is only a $5 difference over at svc.com.

It's only the BH5 PC3700 Buffalo sticks that don't run at their rated speed, however for the dirt-cheap price they go at, it's not that big of a loss. They still do ~215MHz DDR.

The other stuff, PC3200 Buffalo is supposed to be great stuff.

Mushkin performs best in the bench's (go see Anand's). Plus, from my personal experience, I am quite impressed with it (see sig). Winbond BH chips are teh win!

Buffalo is decent, their sticks aren't consistent. Some are great, others are ok, there are also duds.
