Is the Corsair CMX512-2700C2 512MB DDR333 PC2700 compatible with

Motherboard: Intel 2.0GHz w/512K Cache Pent ium 4 Processor & Motherboard

Processor: INTEL 2.0GHZ W/512K CACHE PENT IUM 4 PROCESSOR & MOTHERBOARD

According to this you system has PC2100 RAM in it. You can use that RAM but it will just run at 266mhz instead of its maximum speed of 333Mhz.

A quick google search for the Gateway computer revealed that it does use DDR (and not Rambus). Since DDR333 is backwards compatible with other standards (DDR200 and DDR266 depends on what the memory bus runs at) it ****should**** be fine.

Cheers

Yeah but i'm planing to pull out my 2100 and put two 2700 in it. Do you guys know if a 2700 is compatible with my PC?

As was said already, yes it is compatible but it will be running at PC2100 speeds.

It is compatable, you won't be running it at those speeds.
