Oh yeah

People more familiar with the situation say that the guy didn't even have a gun. He had a flip-flop in his hand.
And his family got $300,000 from the city.

Yeah I sure do hate it when police shoot at people with guns. I would much rather wait until those people shoot a cop first so we can make sure they were dangerous. (sarcasm in case anyone couldn't tell).


edit: in light of the above, if the police are saying "put the gun down" and you are holding a flip flop in your hand, shouldn't you just put the flip flop down and put your hands up?

It's hard to tell what happened in the video.

It sounded like one SWAT guy flinched and unloaded a machine gun on him. The responses from other cops of "what the F", etc made it sound like an admitted F up.

Anyone have any follow up artciels on this? OP?
