Is it possible for me to take a MSI K7T or an EpoX 8KTA3, Duron 800 or 850, and overclock to at least a ghz and run it for 2 years?
 
I'd say that's probable if you have efficient cooling and everything. Also, if you were planning on doing that, find out the lowest voltage that the CPU will run stable at and use the voltage the whole time.. Remember that speed does not kill the CPU, it's usually heat (which is caused by high voltage).
