Is This Possible?

I am thinking of buying a Sony STR-DG510 to serve as a receiver for my Toshiba A3.

Problem is do you think my 5.1 surround sound speakers from my Sony DAV-DX150 (HTiB) will work on the DG510s?

Here's the back of the DG510s.

If not, is there any way to make them work (via accesory, configuration, etc) because I would not like to replace my entire home theater setup if possible.

Thanks in advance for the help!

After looking at the pics of your current Sony HTIB at Crutchfield it looks like the speakers themselves have normal spring-clip connectors. If you bought some speaker wire they should work with any receiver you could buy. 18 gauge wire should be plenty for those particular speakers.

The subwoofer appears to be passive meaning it's powered by the Sony HTiB amp. I'm not familiar with how passive subs are hooked up so hopefully someone else can fill you in more.

I believe he'll need a powered Subwoofer as there is no connection for a passive Subwoofer on his new receiver.
