Is this notebook setup possible for under $1000?

OK, the only requirements I have is that it has 256mb of RAM, 15" screen, and 15gb(preferrably 20gb) HD. I'd like the processor to be at least 600mhz, but it's not necessary. I checked the Dell webpage, but they don't seem to list anything that is this dated. I'm mainly going to use this for programming. I don't care about any software becuase it is all going to get whiped out as soon as I get it anyways. Oh, I'd also like to it to be somewhat light and have good battery life and no Compaqs.

head over to the hot deals forum, and surf around abit.

Also it may be hard to get that big of a screen and it still be light(because most of the older laptops are heavier)

Why do you have to have the 15in screen, because that is really the only thing holding you back from finding one for under 1k

try here
or here

The Sams club one appears to be out of stock at the moment but, it would seem ideal for you other than the 15in screen...
