Hello,
I just purchased a Q6600, Abit IP35-E, and 2GB of Corsair TwinX PC6400 with a Thermalright Ultima 90i.
I've replaced them in my old system, and so I'm now running:
Q6600
Abit IP35-E (BIOS ID: 12 - latest)
2GB TwinX PC6400
X800XT
Audigy 2 ZS
300GB HDD
320GB HDD(Not connected right now)
400GB HDD(Not connected right now)
Thermalright 90i with S-Flex 120mm.
All in an Antec P160 case and powered by an Antec NeoPower 480W.
After installation, I attempted to boot up. The system starts, fans spin, nothing displays on screen, then everything stops, then everything starts again and it boots normally. If I restart, it starts normally.
Once it's booted, everything works fine. OS (Vista 64-bit) loads, programs - including Orthos which I ran two instances of to stress for 20 minutes - run and can be installed and drivers install normally. I also ran 4 instances of prime simultaneously with different processor affinities for over an hour and no problems.
I am wondering if the situation with the boot up is normal or if there may be a problem.
