I dropped some coins and small things on top of my computer by accident. The computer immediately restarts.
I have a raven case with a rotated mobo. Nothing fell inside. This has happened a couple of times because I'm an idiot.
Computer is on the floor and I have a dresser right next to it with clutter on top. On multiple occasions I have knocked some stuff off the dresser onto the computer. The computer has a grill on top so nothing touches the wires.
I would like to know if something gets knocked loose or if it is just a safety put in place by the mobo.
Once with no permanent issues (yet).
Although I have had issues with shorts that cause my computer to rapidly power on and off. I usually reseat the ram and a few if the PSU connections to fix it.

Have you tried hitting the case to simulate the coins dropping?
I suspect that your comment about dropping things onto the computer several times is an indication that something got knocked loose inside the computer. I would unplug everything and reconnect it to make sure everything is connected properly and securely.
you want him to spray the cat and the dog while is inside the machine 😱 (JOKE) any news waldohAlso if you have cats or dogs, spray it out with a can of air while your inside the machine. Always a good idea at least once a year.
