Is this normal?

I've been looking for a daily driver for a week now and every car i've looked at have some type of visible leaks under the hood.

Most of them are leaking around the valve cover, some of them around the transmission, and some are just everywhere that I don't know where it's coming from.

Is this normal or what? I even looked at a used 2006 Honda accord EX coupe with 45k miles and it was leaking oil on the valve cover.

Granted they're not dripping, but it's visible.

What's the deal? does your car leak some type of fluid under the hood too? if so, what year & mileage?

Could also be a PCV leak, which is usually a cheap/quick fix. That'll spray a fine mist of oil vapor everywhere.

But yes, mine does.

91 Supra, 200k miles. Slight leak out of the valve covers, PCV, and uhh.. head gasket. Currently awaiting repairs and has already been demoted from daily driver. Gotta figure out what I'm going to replace it with.

Surprisingly, it doesn't leak or burn a drop of oil. Turbo seals are fine at that age/mileage. Of course, it currently burns coolant, which is a different issue.
