ok I have never played pc games before, so I thought I would throw a computer together and try it out. Here are the specs:

3200+ Clawhammer
Epox 8KDA3J
ATI Radeon 9800 pro
1gb Kingston HyperX

So I know all about flashing the 9800 to the xt, and I have the R360 core, so I could do it, it just seems iffy. I figured I would just overclock with RivaTuner to xt speeds (412/365) and be fine with what I got considering I dont even know what all the goodies look like anyways, I won't be missing anything. Well I didnt know it would be this bad. On 3dMark 05, I got a 2480, which is lower than avg for a stock 9800 pro. Farcry looks awful at 1024x768, high settings (lower than what it autodetected). I should have the latest drivers for motherboard and card (cat 5.9) and i used drivercleaner to update that.

Any ideas of what I can do to make this better?
 
yeah i have dx 9, FEAR installed it. I dont know how to take a screenshot of a game? is it different than a normal screenshot?
