Hi im running a 3500+ and a 6800gt.. My mobo temp is idle at 35c and my cpu idles at 42c.. Is this normal? and if not wut are some ways i can lower the temps

Your CPU is idling at 42? That might be a bit high, though you can try updating your BIOS if current readings are inaccurate.

55C is a general accepted limit for the load temperature (give us this too).

Yep, those temps are about what I have on my 3500+. I actually set the motherboard CPU temp to 50c now to quiet down some fan noise, so it runs a little hotter now. I'm using stock cooling.

Edit: I see that's idle at 42. That might actually be a bit high (temps I listed are under load), but it's still probably nothing to worry about. What are your temps under load?

well i havent really been under much load considering this computer is a day old...but while im playing counterstrke source and on aim and stuff it got to 50c once but usually in the 40s
