my brother has an intel 810 mobo, it's currently running a 633 celery. Can I put in a 1ghz or 1.2ghz celeron? Is there a way to change the fsb to 100mhz through software? The computer is an emachines 633ids.

All 1.2GHz processors are of the Tualatin class, and require a different voltage and a modified bus. You cannot upgrade to a Tualatin processor on that motherboard.

You may be able to put in a 1.1GHz Celeron (cD0 stepping) as long as you have a BIOS that supports cD0 stepping processors.

Intel motherboards are fully auto-detect and do not allow the end user to change the FSB.
