Nah go up there, you'll be fine, tell the police you know your rights if they come and refuse to leave.

When I was in HS my friends and I had our whole school rigged so that we could get in whenever we wanted. As a true geek, I was one of the 6 founding members of my school's student tech support group. We also did video editing and stuff, but originally it was just pc maintenance and installation. We used to go in on the weekend when it was cold or rainy and play doom2 or quake. I got caught once but the head custodian, but I was tight with the director of technology (our boss) as well as the principal and superintendent, so it was all good.

...And don't forget the part " My parents are TAXPAYERS!!! They pay your salary!! You work for US!!

That helps to establish a good working relationship with your public servants and reminds them where their bread-and-butter comes from.

I sure hope your parents believe in a good whuppin' (not likely, given your attitude, but I can dream).

wow, here in Switzerland, NO cop will stop if we are on the roof of a school building, I mean... WTF? The caretaker maybe yell at you, that you should get your ass off of that roof, but 100%, no police involved.

you guys dont seem to understand this whole roof thing.

you go on the roof and talk. people have skated on the roof before. during school hours, i know someone who skijumped off the roof and did a back flip (no joke). senior pranks involve the roof (toilets, etc).

i think i figured out what im trying to ask. if, during the day, going on the roof doesnt really cause any trouble, will going on the roof at night cause trouble?

It's illegal, they'll get you for trespassing.

It doesen't matter if you understand it or not, that's what they'll cite you for.

Don't even think about entering the school, you will be charged with breaking and entering. It doesen't matter if the door is open, can you just walk into someone elses house?

"But the door was open..." lol...

did you read the whole thread? obviously not. if you had, you would have seen that the window thing was HYPOTHETICAL. i am not going to go through a window into my school. what the hell would be the point of that?

I read the thread. I know it was hypothetical.

Hypothetical means you're thinking about it, and I said.. "don't even think about it". Not that hard to understand.

Technically, the school is private property. It's owned by the school district. It's open to the public, but it isn't owned by the public. You'd be arrested for trespassing, depending on how the cops felt you were acting. They may just tell you to leave.

Right ;) Bring a video camera with a 2 hour tape. That should cover your talking, the arrest, and most of your trial. :p
