Is this kind of overclock...well, normal?

I just started messing around with my MSI Geforce4mx420 and I'm perplexed at how I've oc'ed it (click the link to see the specs http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/vga/vga/pro_vga_detail.php?UID=323&MODEL=MS-8878 )

Now I've never really oc'd a GPU nor its ram before so if my settings are perfectly within limitations please tell me :) (though I have to System Ram and a Processor...)

The normal speeds for this is 250/332 according to RIVATUNER

Now after messing around I was able to acheive 315/472.5 stable! That is a 65/95.5 increase. Anything higher for the GPU and I get garbage appearing and anything higher for the ram and "snow" starts appearing (though it isn't very visible even if i push the ram to 500 but I'm one of those who'd rather have stabiliyt)

To test I'm just using FF9 and EPSXE since I'm messing around with my TVOUT but I'm wondering if that kind of increase is normal. Btw, the card is used and it came with ramsinks the guy installed (the entire card is passively cooled)

So the verdict:

Normal or Unusual

Actually for me its fast. My old Geforce2GTS-V could barely keep t a60FPS pace on FF9 in emulation while in this I have to limit it else the FPS will jump up to 250 (and it spike an extra 70 during an FMV)

My GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64mb (a very early model) does 302/605 from stock speeds of 250/513. That's not as much as your OC, but I've known many people who have done better than me (330/650 or so). That's about the same as the OC (proportionally ) that you got on yours.

Well this card is an early model (guy said it cost him 129.99 so it has to have been one at that price) so thanks for reassuring me :) I was worried the card was going to start to melt even though I didn't want to give up the speed :)
