Is this HSF for an Athlon 64 worth it?

Wrong forum but - are you Overclocking? The OEM HSF is fine for most everything if your not, and is still adequate even if you are, but only to a certain extent. I would buy something better if your going to Overclock at all, but thats just me.

I don't think OP was the one bidding. At least I hope it wasn't him.

hmmm

I don't think it is:
You're looking at the auction of an OEM AMD Heatsink + Fan which came with an Athlon 64 3000+ CPU, but since I put the CPU in a shuttle barebone system which includes it's own Heatsink system, I don't need this one. It is brand new, never been used!

I'd pay $2 for a new OEM heatsink/fan. $56 for a high end aftermarket one.

Does that stick in your ass bother you at all? I'd have that removed

After which I'll jam it strait into your eyes, first one then the other. Then feed them to you shish-ka-bob style. You'll never see it coming since you were rolling them deep within your sockets.

The problem is that someone probably thought they were getting the fan and processor since they are pictured together. People on eBay are pretty dumb.

People probably thought it came with the processer. No way in hell would I pay $56 for the HSF. Maybe $15, but nothing more.

Hmmm. I use the stock HS and fan on my 3200. Got it with the processor boxed.
That's a hell of a lot of money. You can buy aftermarket good stuff for that kind of jack.

Is that the best you can do? I'm not impressed.

LOL, some dumbass's gonna be pissed when he gets just the retail HSF, and the seller's gonna get a negative. It's a win win situation for a pair of dumbasses.
