When I was in grade school I had to read something about Niger aloud in class. I had never encountered the name of the country, and since it looked like it sounded like a word I *did* know, I pronounced it that way.

For a brief second, I figured that's where the n-word came from. Made sense.

Obviously, I pronounced it wrong.
