Well, after 20 years in the pizza business, I can assure you that it's a myth.
For a number of years, there was a group of young female customers who flirted regularly and referred to me as "C A"... it was years before I figured out what it meant. (I used to ride my bike (not motorcycle) 100+ miles each week... it was in reference to my build at the time) But... no nookie.

<- PC Tech, have done many in-home jobs over the years. Getting hit on hasn't been an issue. I don't think I'm unattractive, perhaps not fantasy material, etc. In my opinion, if I flirted with the clients instead of acting professional, and doing my job perhaps I'd have stories to talk about, and again perhaps not. I don't know, I don't flirt.

Honestly, I wouldn't put it completely past these lonely women. If they're rich, it's likely their husbands work long hours or are on business trips out of town a lot. And you have to think that they are getting some themselves elsewhere. The women would love some attention / action any chance they get. I'm sure *some* act on it.

Most clients who are wealthy enough to have an independent tech come to their home
look upon them much the same way as they do the person who cleans the pool. Hell,half of em aren't even home.I had many a job were I let myself in and out and my check was waiting for me under the keyboard.They really don't know/don't care about the computer
enough to be hanging around while it's worked on,let alone long enough to rub themselves all over some nerd.
