meh, it's just an alcohol-based one. That video actually made it look much worse than it actually was. The stuff burns up pretty fast, and the flames just disappear...even if you were to do it directly on the garage door, it wouldn't be able to heat up the wood long enough to light it on fire before going out itself.

Hope the parents have home owners insurance, and a Big F-ing leather belt.

Though in an ironic turn off events, if I found out about my kids doing something like that I wouldn't beat them. I would test it out on his or her favorite toys.

That's not the danger. The danger is the possibility of flashback, if the propelling force isn't enough - the flames will burn back into the gun, and the alcohol will burn nearly instantaneously, exploding the gun and that guy's arms.

F*cking idiot.

yeh he's an idiot - but still pretty sweet flamethrower - just don't hold the trigger otherwise the plastic will melt :p

back yard would not be a good idea because 1) neighbors would freak out and 2) there is stuff called grass that would burn

If my parents did that to me I'd be testing it out on their bed...

I made flame throwers and potato guns and explosives when I was a kid, but at least I played with them in big empty fields of snow.
