Is this graphics card get good frames in Crysis and Mass Effect?

Depends on your settings within the games and resolution. My G80 8800GTS @ 1152 x 864 gets an average of 25FPS at very high settings (OC'd of course)

I have the same hardware as you except I have 2gigs of RAM. I expect you to roughly the same FPS as I did.

Depending on your resolution and expected settings, there is no single card available that will satisfy Crysis. But the 8800GT is a good choice for it; a mix of medium/high settings will allow for good FPS... depending on res, you might be able to use all high settings.

You should be fine with Mass Effect, although AMD cards seem to do better in it (at least with release drivers, haven't seen benches since).

You'd probably be better off with an AMD HD 4850 though: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814129112

It's faster just about everywhere and in the same price range.

Well I still have a tiny 19inch LCD monitor that has max res of 1280*1024, so it doesn't make sense to get Crysis to render higher than that..... So at 1280*1024, should I be able to get everything on HIGH (not very high, just high) ?

Yes, high settings should run fine on a GT. Expect FPS dips every once in a while, but it is still very playable and wouldn't justify buying a new card.

I think you're good to go as is.

ME, like all UE3 games, runs better on ATI -- the 3870 is faster than the 8800GT there.

Also, ME still has crashing issues with 8800 series cards. The patch may fix this, but who knows when...

I have an 880GT and run 1280x1024, highest settings, 4x AF and 4xAA. My frame rate consistently stays above 30FPS with the occasional drop in the 20s.

What crashing issue? I am on my second play through (over 50 hours playing) and Mass Effect has been nothing less than stellar as far as stability is concerned.

I had an 8800GT 512mb which I used to comfortably play Crysis at 1600x1200, medium settings. You should be fine.

If you already have a SLI mobo, then get the 8800GT, and then get another one later to SLI them should you wanna upgrade.

I don't know why are you still considering the 8800 GT when the 4850 is faster and at about the same price!? I have the 8800 GT and it's a great card, playing Mass Effect very well on highest settings at 1680X1050 and Crysis on a combination of medium and high settings, but if I were you, I would get that ATI, since is pretty much faster then even 9800 GTX and at a "terrible" low price too.
