I want too buy a pentium 750E(100mhz) and i want to set the fsb at 133.3.
7.5 * 133.3= 997.5 so i don't hit the 1000 mhz barrier
Is this reasonable to overclock ? I have a alpha cooler with Arctic Silver.

If you want a better chance of 1GHz, it would be a better idea to get one of the AMD TBirds. We all know that the TBirds can run 1.2GHz stable, which means that yields are high enough to produce marketable quantities of those chips. Intel's chips, however, top out at about 1GHz.

and don't forget that utilizing a 133mhz fsb speed might cause your pci/agp/isa cards to operate out of it's intended range, resulting in malfunction or crashes. it depends on which motherboard you have, since some mobos will let you adjust the ram and clock speed individually. it'll also be recommended that you use pc133 ram.

Yeah, it depends on quality of your CPU.
But dun forget you'll be running your CPU 33% above it's rated speed... pretty dangerous in any language 😀
Though I suppose it depends if you want your CPU to last or u want to trash it to get the highest possible speed.
