One of my questions is how good are the GeForce 4 mx's regarding 2-d quality? I could get a Radeon Ultra (32 megs sdr) for 20 bucks less which supposely has better 2-d quality(but suxs compared to the 4mx in gaming). But I was thinking that the moniter that comes with this is not great so you could not really tell the difference with the 2-d quality.

Also is there anything I am missing? This is mainly for typing, email, and all that other what not. I just want this computer to last them two-three years.

thanks!

gf4mx is pretty much a beefed up version of gf2mx

do they only have a selection of those video cards?

if the do, gf4mx is probably more than enough for your parents
even 3d games will be ok on that (i ahve gf2mx and it plays the games i want to play relatively well)
