my sister just got a powermac g4 400mhz with a gig of ram for $50....not bad so now she needs a monitor and wireless card. shes going to get a samsung 710n i know that is a good monitor and will be perfect for her needs. now what she need is a wireless card that will work on a mac. i was thinking something like this will this be compatable? thanks for all the input

For your wireless, you just need to make sure that drivers exist for the version of MacOS she's running. A G4-400 can run OSX, so I suggest you start there.

yea my dad company was selling them first come first serve it was 50 for single cpus and 100 for dual we got stuck with a single but o well. last night my mom installed OSX so that running on there. i will try and find drivers for it

I use an RALink based adapter (D-Link DWL-G122 hardware rev. b1) with my Mac Mini. The driver isn't entirely stable, but the latest one isn't too bad.

you just have to look for a driver that is compatible with mac os x. see what other mac users do does she have to have wireless i am guessing so.

You can also try looking for a wireless access point instead of a USB wireless adapter. They work over the ethernet port and thus require no drivers, which are typically hard to find or flakey at best under OS X. The only downside is that I believe they need to be plugged in to receive power (USB adapters are self powered).
