Is this for real?

It's at least a grand each. And, if you were to pop bikini straps, there are two problems - one, you would probably burn some skin, and two - it's a laser, which means it's also a tracer.

Haven't these been around for a while now?

They're prohibitively expensive anyway, I don't see anyone other than bored rich guys buying this to burn holes in paper.

They are real. A friend of mine has a 95mW laser from that site. He can pop ballons, cut electrical tape, burn the crap out of moles on your skin, and cut through mostly anything(albeit very slowly) that is dark in color. Technically, it is illegal to have for general use. Cutting bikinis is just not going to happen though, at least not with the class of laser my friend has.

I've got one of the lower powered ~35 mW green lasers. It's extremely bright and you have to be careful not to shine it at shiny objects or you will be in trouble. It's really cool because you can see the beam, especially at night.

I got it like 10 days ago, thats why. If you want, I'll let you stand 10 feet back and and show you what the green dot looks like...real close up... Anyway it's supposed to travel about 14 miles. They have higher powered green lasers that can go for 120 miles which is pretty insane. You also have to be careful not to shine any of them at aircraft.

Dude do you think that I could play around with it and like light peoples hair on fire with it? How much did you pay for it?

I think it was around $150. I've shined it at my hand and it doesnt get warm really. I think you'd need something a little stronger to light stuff.
