I received an old Acer Extensa 367T laptop for free, it's running WIN98. It has a reg. phone jack for the internal WIN modem. What i was wondering if it's possible, is there another way to hook it up to the internet. I don't really want to buy a PCMCIA Eithernet card for this old laptop. IS there another way to hook it up to another pc to access the web via.... Printer port or throw a pci modem into a pc tower and loop it using the modem port on the lappy or even the 1 usb port on the laptop(which isn't working)

Is there any way to hook it up to the web using another pc by linking it.

I know it's a dumb ?, just curious what I can do to get it hooked up costing nothing.

Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Evem if it could, you would need to buy special nul modem, or db25 cros over cable that would cost you about the same as an Etherent Card and would be very lame conncetion.

If the Laptop has USB, may be this if it has Win98 Drivers.
