I wouln't go with it.

why do you need it local? there are some way better psu's in your price range online

It would work fine, but that is a bit expensive for such a weak PSU. Why not just buy from online or something?

Borderline. I probably wouldn't do it. Check out the Seasonic PSU's. These are great PSU's for the money. For a little more money, you'll buy yourself some peace of mind. Think of it as insurance.

This is for a friend who's power supply just went down, he doesn't want to wait for a shipment (his wife says she NEEDS the computer) and she isn't patient... Any thing you can reccomend?

These are great PSU's for the money

I kind of disagree. There S12 380w last time I checked was around the same price as a Fortron 500w Blue Storm. Don't get me wrong Seasonic PSU's are great, but are a little on the expensive side.

b&m stores are always expensive. oh well

if you have a frys or compusa near you,they carry okay stuff like antec sp2's and tp2's

Well the 350 "blue antec was on sale for 49.99 and I had a $10 off $50 coupon, so it ended up not being bad... I will hook it up tomorrow :)
