Is this Ebayer being shady and want to NIGERIAN SCAM ME??

I recently sold an Raid card on ebay for $100. The winner is a local person from Toronto and has only 1 feedback which is positive. He is an ebay member since 21-Jan-05.

He contacted me if local pickup is available and I said yes. But after winning the item and discovering that I live 40 min away fron him, he decided to ask me to ship it instead.

The e-mail conversation with him is very slow as he don't respond in a timely manner. Today he finally requested the total from me and asked me to ship the item to him after receiving the payment from him

Should I do it? I stated on my auction that if you have low feedback score, you must wait for your paypal payment to be cleared into my bank account before i ship the item..

what do you guys think?

Isn't that how it usually works?

As soon as you get it, dump it to your bank account right away. Then ship it out a day or 2 later.

If he didn't ask you to ship it to Nigeria you're probably ok, but I would do exactly what it says in your auction and wait for payment to clear. If he has a problem with that he's probably trying to scam you.

If he's from Toronto and wants you to ship it to Toronto I don't see what the big deal is.

If it comes through as a verified Paypal address, it should be covered by Paypal in case he tries something.
