my friend has an APEX DVD player, different model from the one in your link though.
The one my friend has is a 3 discs one, with karaoke feature as well. and ran very cheap at buy.com. i dont know if they still have it. but it was $170 last year.

about the quality, it'd say, not so good.
Like DVD-ROM and CD-ROM. non-barnd-name brand tends to work with only disc in perfect condition.
There were movies that did not run, or ran, but skiped alot on my friend's APEX player, but all those disc ran fine on my Tishiba player.
I suggest buying a well known brand for your DVD-player. it's a good investment.

Well, APEX has models at the 100 dollar mark. I never trust really cheap electronics. My friend has the 600a model and, IMO, it looks and feels real cheap. Spend a little more and get a better player.
